Experience the best of Kenya during your safari to Tsavo East and Amboseli National Park. Kenya is known for its wildlife and natural beauty, and there is no better place to experience both than at Tsavo East National Park. Located in the southeastern part of Kenya, this park is one of the largest and oldest in the country, covering an area of over 13,000 square kilometers. With its diverse range of landscapes, from savannah grasslands to dense forests and arid plains, it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more.
Amboseli National Park is located west of Tsavo East and a paradise for nature lovers. Its scenic beauty is breathtaking and no wonder it is Kenya’s second most popular one to visit. The park is also bordering Tanzania and is located southwest of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, offering spectacular views during your game drive. There are also many opportunities for hiking and mountain climbing in this region. The park is famous for its large elephant population and it is probably the best place in Africa to see these gentle giants up close. The elephant population is estimated at 1600 according to the Amboseli Trust For Elephants Organization. The park is also home to other animals like zebras, giraffes, impalas, ostriches, lions, cheetahs, buffalos, warthogs, and over 400 species of birds. The majority of the population in the area is Maasai and you may have opportunities to visit a Maasai village and learn about their indigenous lifestyle.
